Testimonials
“My husband and I toured the place because my dad needed skilled nursing and was on a continuous Gtube. We walked in and were immediately greeted Billy who works in rehab. He accompanied us to meet the person giving the tour. This place is clean doesn’t smells and the employees seem happy. Once my father was settled in, he received the best care I could imagine. Several times I’d be standing outside his room while they did whatever nurses needed to do and another nurse would come up to me and ask if I needed anything! As POA for my father, St. Edna’s would call me to update me on husband progress even though I visited nearly every day. NOW for the best part-their rehab facilities. My dad couldn’t swallow and worked with the speech therapist, Natalie. He went from not being able to swallow and eat to eating! The GI dr at the hospital said he probably wouldn’t never regain his swallowing functions. WELL HE DID! Billy, Ellie, Nai, Matt all worked with him to be able to walk without assistance. They do balance exercises. They taught him if he falls how to get up, both from the left and right side. If you need assistance with Medicare or Medicaid-cal the social workers can help you out. They’re great! If my dad had to go to skilled nursing again, he’ll be back at St. Edna’s!”

“My dad was transferred here late one night after a visit to the emergency room. The first positive thing that struck us when we walked through the door is that the place did not smell like a lot of places do. The staff seemed friendly and although busy, whenever we asked to speak with someone they responded in a fairly timely manner. We got to talk with the dietician, the physical therapy group and the doctors. All were available and happy to speak with us. The meals are ok they brought fresh fruit with cottage cheese at most lunch meals. ”

“St. Edna Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Center is a nice place, and the rooms are big. It is very clean. The staff are the ones I really like because all of them are very nice people. They are very approachable, and you can ask them anything, that is why I chose St. Edna.
All of them are nice, from the Director of Nursing, to the staff, the caregivers, and the CNAs. They do exercises, and they have bingo. They watch movies and interact with each other. The dining area is ok.
My husband goes to a health care center which is very close to St Edna. Whenever he needs to go to a facility, they always recommend St. Edna. The first time that he was there, I found it to be very conducive to recovery and very nice. So every time he needs to go to a facility, I always go to St Edna.”
– Maritas, Wife of Resident
“I believe that this is the first review that I have ever written for any issue. My sister was a resident of St. Edna receiving rehab after a fall in January of this year. St. Edna is a very good place to recover and provides excellent care. She was here for three months and the only reason I moved her was to locate her closer to my residence.
Before I placed my sister here, I visited several facilities and found St. Edna to be homey and more relaxing than the others. The staff impressed me because they always recognize and speak to visitors entering the building.
I do understand that there are situations that arise that need special attention or a quick reaction and the staff here did there very best to cover all of my sisters needs. Dollar, Emma, Sardeep, Jake, Alberto, Cindy Etc. were always responsive to my inquiries and my sisters desires.
She did pass way after leaving their care, but I wanted to thank them for the kindness and efforts they extended to her for the final months of her life.

“My mom was here for a knee replacement this month. The nurses were helpful and the rehab staff was very effective. My mom was happy with her recovery and so was I.”
