Dietitians Health Pick of the Month – Dairy!
As part of our Enhanced Dining Services, our dietitian picks a different food each month to be incorporated into resident meals, and each facility provides a display to educate residents, family and staff.
This month is Dairy – Dairy can be used in many different ways to add a healthy boost to your meals – from snacks to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is recommended that people 9 years and older consume 3 servings of low-fat or fat-free dairy every day. However, on average, peple are only consuming about 2 servings per day. Dairy is also a great way to build healthy muscles that help support healthy bones. Dairy foods such as milk, flavored milk, cheese, cottage chesse, yogurt and greekstyle yogurt are good sources of high-quality protein that help build healthy muscles and strong bones. Click here to view more FAQs.
