At Highland Health Care every staff member’s contribution is equally important in meeting our resident’s needs and providing a pleasant, comfortable and safe atmosphere.

Working as a nurse, nursing assistant, housekeeper, or facility employee can be a rewarding job. The dedicated team at the Highland Health Care Center are what make it possible for us to establish and maintain the high standards for which we strive. Each team member, no matter what their job title is, plays an important role within the facility.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with external health care providers and hospitals. She also implements a marketing plan for the facility and Homeward Bound programs. She also helps coordinate admissions into the facility.

The Social Services Director assesses the emotional needs of the resident and their family, and has the ongoing task of providing them with the emotional and social support they may need. She also facilitates the discharge planning or long-term placement of the residents.

Andy has worked for Highland Health Care for over 7 years and truly enjoys his job. He graduated from Washington University with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and Maryville University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. In his free time, he enjoys camping, snow skiing, and traveling with my wife and 3 children.

The Dietary Supervisor assesses the dietary needs of each resident. She also oversees kitchen staff to provide delicious, nutritious meals.

Sharon Young, Activity Director

The Activity Director is in charge of the many activities that take place in the facility. There is an activity calendar posted on G Hall, across from the dining room. She and her staff have a great relationship with residents, and keep them as involved, active, and entertained as much as possible.
