Villa Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center would like to congratulate Harriet on her graduation from our Homeward Bound Program!
Harriet was admitted to Villa after spending time in the hospital for treatment of cellulitis. When she arrived she received physical and occupational therapy with a focus on strengthening, balance, walking and ADL’s. She started out requiring assistance with all ADL’s, standing, transferring, walking and could only walk 15 feet.
When Harriet was discharged home she was able to stand for 10 minutes, walk, perform ADL’s, and transfer independently and felt much stronger.
She had this to say about her stay at Villa, “The staff at Villa is cheerful and caring. They challenge you to recover, move and become stronger. I will miss you all.”

Villa Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center would like to congratulate Betty on her graduation from our Homeward Bound Program!
Betty was admitted to Villa after having a scheduled total knee replacement. Upon her admission to Villa Betty received physical and occupational therapy, focusing on strengthening, range of motion, and balance improvement. When she began therapy she required assistance walking, transferring and performing her ADL’s. The range of motion of her knee was 15-85 degree’s.
Upon completion of therapy and her discharge home Betty could independently perform ADL’s, walk with cane, and her ROM was 0-95degrees.
She had this to say about her stay at Villa, “It was very good, all therapists were great and kind!”

Villa Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center would like to congratulate Arthur Ratliff on his recent graduation from our Homeward Bound Program!
Arthur was admitted to Villa Springfield after spending several days in the hospital related to respiratory failure. When he arrived he could transfer and walk with assistance only and was very weak.
Upon Mr. Ratliff”s discharged home, he could transfer, walk and perform activities of daily living independently.
Arthur had this to say about his stay at Villa, “The personnel at Villa Springfield are highly efficient. The Physical Therapy Department are firm and extremely proficient. They kept me motivated allowing me to recover at a faster rate. Especially Cindy and Melissa.”

Villa Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center would like to congratulate Betty on her graduation from our Homeward Bound Program!
Betty was admitted to Villa from home, due to breathing difficulties she was experiencing. Upon admission she could only stand 5 minutes, became weak and short of breath quickly, and required assistance walking.
When Betty was discharged back to her apartment she could care for herself completely, she could stand 15 minutes, and walk alone.
Betty had this to say about her stay at Villa, “I would recommend Villa to anyone, it has helped me 100%.”

Villa Springfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center would like to congratulate Joseph Burke for his recent succes in our Homeward Bound therapy program.
Joe was admitted to Villa, from the hospital, with a diagnosis of Acute Bronchitis. At that time, he required assistance from staff to walk, and for activities of daily living. He also had decreased balance.
After therapy, Joe was independent with all activities of daily living, and also with walking, transfers and bed mobility. His balance has increased greatly!
Joe was discharged from Villa after weeks of therapy. He said, "I have no complaints about therapy! They always do a good job!"
Way to go, Joe!
