Versailles Health Care Center understands that placing a loved one in a long-term facility is not always an easy decision. We try to provide services to make your time at VHCC a positive experience. Our staff can arrange follow-up appointments with doctors, schedule transportation for resident outings, provide home visits with therapist to ensure safety of those planning to return to their homes, and much more. We offer in-house podiatry, dental, audiology, optical and wound care so the residents do not have to wait at physician’s offices for long periods of time.

Special Care Unit:

Our 15-bed secure "Special Care Unit" is designed to effectively manage the care for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia related illnesses. With an enclosed courtyard, covered patio, kitchenette, and many other amenities, this wonderful unit provides a "homelike" environment for our residents who meet the special care unit admissions criteria. Our staff is specially trained to work with residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. VHCC provides a safe and secure environment for those residents through individualized programs to enhance their quality of life and maintain their dignity

Skilled Services:

We offer a 19 bed Transitional Care Unit that is separate from our long term care residents. Our skilled services make up approximately 15% of our current population. We provide a variety of skilled nursing services including, but not limited to IV therapy, severe wound management, medication management, ostomy training and management, trach care and more. Coupled with our rehab partners who provide physical, occupational, respiratory, and speech therapy, the teams help each resident recuperate to their highest functioning level. Most of our skilled residents come to us from an acute care hospital for ongoing attention to their specific illness for a short time, regain strength and return to their home. In the past year, we have discharged over 70 residents back home after successfully completing their specific rehab program.
Ferree Brooke Unit:
Our 16-bed serene unit is designed for those in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and other related dementia illnesses. This peaceful environment is for our residents who meet the Ferree Brooke Unit admissions criteria. Our staff is specially trained to work with residents suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Our staff enhances residents quality of life and maintain their dignity by sensory based programming.
