All of you who let me keep my door closed after 10 p.m. for a better night's sleep.

Fabulous showers (and even shampoos).

All the upbeat (and that's putting it mildly) therapists for walks, games, exercises and advice, especially Jenny and boss Dave for providing cutting edge ultrasound treatments to my surgical wounds.

The energetic Sandy for books on tape.

The tea party social with just-made peanut butter cookies!

Getting to know some of the fulltime residents and hearing how much they like living there.

Nursing supervisor Merilyn and Dr. Tascoe getting an early Doctor's appt. at my surgeon's office when it wasn't looking like there was one available.

Roommate Mary's laid back companionship on my first days and then Feisty Phyllis just as I was getting bored.

Cesar's professionalism in caring for Fearless, Feisty Phyllis (and for understanding why I didn't want a guy to wipe my butt).

Nurse Lynda for her special bedtime manner, also Nelly and Cheryl.

Last but not least… letting me go home when I knew I was ready.

Letter Dated 04/15/07:

TOP THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR DURING MY STAY AT PACIFIC COAST MANORin no special order:

Letting me have a breakfast diet of yogurt and fresh fruit while I got my digestive system back on track.

On my worst day, nurse Beverly's help in getting "all systems GO" if you get my drift.

The perfect poached egg when I was ready for the normal food tray.

Busy Imelda bringing me a newspaper and warm lemon water each day without my having to remind her.

My pride in being a Rotarian when I saw the work they had done on your new patio.
