Every Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is required to operate within a strict set of guidelines and regulations from the Department of Health (DOH). To determine compliance, every Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is visited unannounced by a group of DOH personnel whose reponsibility includes methodical inspections of the facility, or if needed, extended investigations of activites that may demonstrate irregularities outside of a normal SNF operations. This visit is called a "survey" or a State Inspection.
Depending on the severity of deficiency findings from the "survey", an SNF can be cited, penalized and required to comply, or to the extent of the law, maybe ordered to shut down operations.
We at La Jolla Nursing & Rehabilitation Center are proud to present
to you our survey ratings from our past years of operations. This is available
to you at the Medicare website, or ask us about it during your visit to our
facility. The survey result will provide you with useful information in choosing
a skilled nursing facility for your loved one. We are confident that you will
positively decide to choose our facility based on these "survey"
information.
