Survey Ratings

The staff of Friendship Home is very proud of our surveys. Every skilled nursing facility is required to operate within strict guidelines set by both State and Federal Agencies. Our annual State surveys have been deficiency free in 2005, 2006 and 2007. We have only received one Federal Survey and there were NO nursing care findings. When you tour a facility be sure you ask to see their last annual survey. This should be readily available and staff should be pleased to show it and explain.

CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) has recently came out with a Nursing Home Compare report. Friendship received the highest overall rating, 5-STARS. You can look up the rating of any facility by going to www.medicare.gov.

We do not suggest that your decision on what facility to use should be based on surveys or ratings alone. These are just one tool you can use in your evaluation. The best way to judge any facility is to visit and talk with the staff and residents. Get your information first hand. Be realistic in your expectations, do your homework and ask the right questions. We welcome tours and are willing to answer any questions you may have.

Regulatory Performance:
Friendship Home has been deficiency free more times than any other facility in Macoupin or Montgomery County, having received deficiency free status in 2006, 2007 and 2008 as certified by the Department of Public Health, State of Illinois, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. We continue to enjoy high ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid when compared with other area facilities.
