Richard L. Thorpe, Executive Director
|
Mr. Thorpe has been
with Emerald Gardens for over 4 years now. He has over 35
years in Long-Term Care Administration experience. Mr. Thorpe
holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. He is A Life Certified
Fellow in the American College of Health Care Administrators
(ACHCA) and has also served as the Chairman and CEO of ACHCA
for 10 years. Mr. Thorpe has been licensed in the State
of California since 1972 and is a current Preceptor Administrator.
He also holds Certifications as a Nursing Home Administrator
and an Association Executive.

| The
primary focus of Dr. Feliciano is to implement the resident
care policies of the facility and coordinate the medical care
provided by this facility. He coordinates medical care to
ensure that residents receive appropriate care and assists
in developing, maintaining, and periodically updating written
policies and procedures that govern the facility's day-to-day
medical operations. Dr. Feliciano also serves on the Interdisciplinary
Care Plan Team, working with that committee in developing
a comprehensive assessment and care plan for each resident. |

Laarni Gallardo, RN, Director
of Nursing

Laarni Gallardo is
the Director of Nursing here at Emerald Gardens. Her primary
purpose is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall
operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance
with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines,
and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be
directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director,
to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained
at all times. In the absence of the Medical Director, she
is charged with carrying out the resident care policies
established by this facility.

Candace has been with
the Covenant Care for 6 ½ years and has been in her
position as Rehabilitation Director, here at Emerald Gardens,
for 3 1/2 years. Her primary role is to manage the therapy
department and its staff. She is responsible for working
with the therapists to determine the level of therapy that
is needed for each patient. Her goal is to make sure that
every patient that lives in our facility, either short or
long-term, receives the therapy services that they need
and that they are entitled to. She is also responsible for
scheduling and facilitating quarterly training for all of
the therapy staff so that they are kept up to date on the
most recent information concerning the state of the art
modalities and programs that are provided for our patients.

Christina Singh, Marketing Director
|
Christina just started
her role as Marketing Director for Emerald Gardens in September
of 2006. She is a graduate of California State University,
Sacramento. She was previously a Marketing Director for
a Real Estate Educational and Investment firm for the past
4 ½ years. Christina spends about 80% of her time
on external marketing. Her number one priority is developing
and maintaining positive working relationships with external
health care providers, and institutions. She continually
reviews, recommends and implements marketing campaigns for
the facility.

Abner has been the Resident
Assessment Director since June of 2003. He is in charge
with completing Medicare, HMO, New Admit and Re-admit MDS
Assessments. He makes sure proper, adequate and accurate
supporting documentations for completing MDS assessments
are in place, oversees the whole MDS department. Abner primarily
is in charge of the daily PPS review, Monthly Utilization
Review (with MD, Pharmacy, Lab, IDT) to ensure residents
are getting the full of their benefits, and that the facility
is able to provide the maximum benefits, at the same time
ensure that we get paid the appropriate amount of the services
we provide

Celia Estillore
Business Office Manager
|
Celia is currently our
Business Office Manager at Emerald Gardens Nursing Center.
She came aboard in March 2007 and brings with her over 13
years of experience in Long Term Care/Nursing Home Industry.
She manages the daily operations of the Business Office
and interfaces with our Social Services, Central Supply,
Therapy Departments, as well as with families, insurance
companies, the Department of Health, Social Security Administration
and other ancillary providers. Celia and her staff provide
assistance for family members relating to patient's accounts,
resident trust accounts and other related activities.
