Dine-In Luncheon Party – Monday, June 15th
Edgewood’s living room will be jumpin’ as residents enjoy a summertime dine-in luncheon party amid a room full of balloons and flowers. All in attendance will fill their tummies on a catered pork chop lunch with hot sides of baked potatoes, loose corn or green beans, and warm buttered rolls. Everyone will feel special as they eat off fancy floral tablecloths with matching plates and napkins. Once lunch is over….the excitement will begin! Keyboard Cleats, a local honky tonk piano player, will tickle the ivories for an hour and a half of lively entertainment. As the party comes to an end, a decorated sheet cake will be served to anyone who still has room! It should be a celebration to be remembered!

Sorrowful Mother Shrine Outing – Friday, June 19th
In anticipation of a beautiful day, the residents of Edgewood will board the bus for a leisurely drive to the historic Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue. Peace and serenity abound at this, the oldest Marian shrine in the Midwest. The residents will visit the lovely little chapel built in the 1850’s and travel the paved walkways winding among tall, colorful oak trees. It is sure to be an enjoyable and reflective day spent outdoors among the unspoiled woodlands.

Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast – Sunday, June 21st
Blueberry pancakes smothered in syrup will be on the menu Father’s Day for all the men in the facility to enjoy. Pancakes and sausage links cooked to perfection on the griddle served with a choice of juice and coffee will have mouths watering. This is Edgewood’s way of honoring the men who selflessly protected, nurtured, and guided us over the years.

Red Hat Club Bash! – Monday, June 22nd
The living room at Edgewood will be covered in purple and red for their Red Hat Society all out bash! Specialty teas, coffee, and hot chocolate will be on the drink cart for the choosing. Cherry topped cheesecake and cut-out cookies decorated with red/purple hats will tickle the taste buds. Each lady will be pinned with a beautiful 2-flower corsage for the day just to make them feel like the special ladies they are. As the Red Hatters are enjoying their tea and sweets, a local music group will be playing familiar tunes from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. A spontaineous sing-a-long will probably ensue as all in attendance laugh, reminisce, and clap to the beat of the music.

Verandah Concert Outing – Wednesday, June 24th
After dinner, the residents will head to the Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont to enjoy an evening out. Before the music begins, everyone will enjoy an old-fashioned ice cream social to satisfy their sweet tooths. Then the Fostoria Community Band will take the stage playing a variety of songs including marches and swing music. What better way to spend an evening than with good friends, yummy ice cream, and jumpin’ music - all outdoors in the fresh air!
