Chairman’s Award Winner: One Covenant Care facility in the region receives that Chairman’s Award each year, and in 2010 it was Edgewood! Chairman’s Award winners are “model” Covenant Care facilities and exceed financial expectations, exceed clinical standards, maintain positive Federal and State Survey outcomes with low turnover and positive employee relations, and exceed accounts receivable guidelines. To win this award, Edgewood Manor also demonstrated that they have mentored other facilities, been a provider of choice in their community for patients and employees, and be actively involved as a member of their local community.
2010 Bronze Award from the American Health Care Association: Edgewood Manor Nursing Center has been recognized as a 2010 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality National Award presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. This award provides a pathway for providers of long term and post acute care services to journey towards performance excellence. Facilities begin their quality journey at the Bronze level where they are asked to develop an organizational profile including vision and mission statements, an awareness of their environment and customers’ expectations. Edgewood Manor may now move forward in developing approaches and achieve performance levels that meet criteria for the Silver-Achievement in Quality Award.
Edgewood Manor made finals for BBB’s Torch Ward: Edgewood Manor Nursing Center was one of five finalists for the Better Business Bureau’s Annual Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The award recognizes firms whose business practices and related activities exemplify the BBB's mission of promoting through self-regulation the highest standards of business ethics and conduct.
Edgewood Nursing Team wins 8th consecutive award: Edgewood Manor Nursing Center has received the 2010 Clinical Indicator of Achievement Award. Covenant Care implemented the award eight years ago and Edgewood Manor has consecutively been awarded this honor since its inception. This means that Edgewood is exceeding all the following clinical indicators – chemical restraints, physical restraints, weight loss, and in-house acquired pressure ulcers.
Edgewood earns Excellence in Survey Award: Edgewood Manor Nursing Center has received “Best in Ohio” award for having an excellent survey outcomes. The annual survey is conducted by the Ohio Department of Health. The results show the dedication of all departments working together to achieve outstanding clinical and therapy outcomes and provide a safe environment for residents and staff.
