We provide tender loving care to those members of our community who are unable to live in their homes and take care of themselves. We provide that care at the direction of each resident's physician, and with the information and support of the resident's family and friends.

Covington Manor is very proud of the results of the 2003 Indiana State Board of Health survey - Covington Manor was found to be deficiency free! Each year every skilled nursing facility undergoes an extensive inspection by the Indiana State Board of Health investigating each and every aspect of the facility's operation. There are over 400 federal and state "tags" that can be imposed resulting in the need for a plan of correction, monetary penalties or even suspension of operation. Receiving a deficiency free survey is indeed a noteworthy accomplishment that reflects the outstanding level of care that the Covington Manor team provides to our residents throughout the year. We are truly as our motto states -- "family serving families."

Covington Manor is very proud of the "Homeward Bound Program!" In 2005, we have sent over 87% of the homeward bound admisssions back to their home. This was made possible due to the individualized plan of treatment for each patient, the dedication of the nursing staff, the determination of our large therapy staff, and the advanced modalities available to them. Our discharged patients are our best ambassadors.

Getting residents back to their prior level of community function is of the highest priority to us following a hospital stay due to diagnosis such as stroke, broken hip, generalized weakness, urinary tract infections and heart attacks.
