Our highly trained staff of Physical Therapists,Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists provides treatment for all levels of ability and function.

We utilize a clinical “Team” approach in order to provide you with the skills and knowledge that may best fit your particular Therapy needs. Our focus is to return you to your potential optimal health so that you can enjoy your life and chosen activities.In our "Homeward Bound Program " ,our goal is to facilitate your return back home at the highest possible functional level and in a safe manner.

In our newly remodelled OT room , residents have the opportunity to practice daily tasks like making a bed or performing kitchen tasks in order to prepare them for their return home. In addition to that, they are also retrained for their balance by challenging them utilizing State -of-the -art Wii programs (created by Nintendo). Utilizing this technology here at Courtyard, residents are better able to challenge their balance, co-ordination and endurance and in fact find it to be a fun way to participate in daily exercise.Residents are able to utilize the Wii in standing with an assistive device or while sitting in a wheelchair.

Another program that is also available to Courtyard residents is the ACP program which comprises of State-of-the-art Modalities, evidence -based protocols and advanced therapist training in order to enhance outcomes and facilitate residents returning back into the community.These protocols are especially beneficial to those suffering from a stroke or if they have undergone knee / hip surgery. This technology is also used for our long-term care residents that may need it , for instance , fall prevention , contracture management or pain management to name a few.

We require regular attendance in continuing education, keeping our staff up to date on the most current techniques and research. We encourage all of our staff to explore new techniques and interests that will expand our foundation of care for our patients.
