“Tim was admitted to our Inspirations Unit from Marion, IN. Tim is a Veteran and needed the structured environment we provide to reach his full potential. He has thrived at University Park due to group opportunities, individual interests, and one to one personal attention from the staff.
He is pictured here with one of his many drawings. In the summer, Tim has taken responsibility of caring for the garden in our secure courtyard. We are blessed to have Tim as a member of our “UP Family”!
When asked about his experience at University Park Tim responded, “I like having my own room and being able to decorate it as I want. I have everything I need here.”

“I came here by TRAA and I am walking out of here! The first week I needed assistance to get off of bed to go to the restroom and get into my wheelchair. Second week was walking with assistance. Third Week I was walking on my own. I am stronger in my arms and legs. Now I am going home independent!”

“University Park is my first and #1 option! I would refer anyone to University Park. Therapy was my earthly angel!”
- Mary G., Past Resident
“Therapy was initially boring. I did not understand why the therapists asked me to kick a ball during treatment. Then I realized that I was able to apply this to my daily activities. It is the little things that helped me to accomplish more!”
- Arthur B., Past Resident
“The care givers were friendly and helpful with their requests for my movements to strengthen me for discharge.”
- Jean W., Past Resident

"Thank you so much for the beautiful globe. We put it in my Mom's room and it looks lovely. Also a big thanks to the person who came to showing, not only to show your sympathy but also for offering to stay with mom. That was very thoughtful. Thanks again for all that you've done to make Mom & Dad's stay the nursing home as comfortable as possible."
