Meet Our Team

Mike Altobella, Executive Director
Mike Altobella has been associated with Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center for the past 15 years. As the Executive Director, Mike oversees the entire building to ensure that everything is running smoothly. He is a graduate of Lewis University and was also previously a Community-Based Faculty Member at the University of Kentucky. Please stop by or call him with any questions or concerns.

Melody Terry, Director of Nursing
Melody Terry is the Director of Nursing (DON) at Cedar Ridge. The Director of Nursing oversees the entire Nursing department. She helps to ensure that each resident is receiving the most appropriate care possible. Melody is a graduate of Paducah College and has been a registered nurse for 22 years and a DON for 8 years. Additionally, she has experience working in oncology, dialysis, and trauma, working both in the emergency room and flying with AirVac helicopters. Lisa Langenhorst, Nursing Administration
Lisa Langenhorst is a member of Nursing Administration at Cedar Ridge and assists the Director of Nursing. Among Lisa's responsibilities are monitoring the facility's incidents, conducts Walking Rounds/Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, and monitors weights and Infection Control. Lisa has been a member of the Cedar Ridge team for 7 years and started with us as a Floor Nurse. She is a graduate of Beck Area Vocational.      

Brooke Lane, Treatment Nurse
Brooke oversees and coordinates the skin treatments for all residents. She also works with the nurses and doctors to ensure the most appropriate treatments and preventative measures are in place.

Kim Davis, RAI Director, Nursing Administration
Kim Davis is the RAI Director at Cedar Ridge. The RAI Director electronically enters information about residents for government healthcare purposes. The RAI Director works with Insurance companies to keep them updated on the residents progress through therapy and keeps the resident aware of update information. Kim is a Registered Nurse and is a former Director of Nursing. She is a graduate of Lewis and Clark. 

Amy Szostak, Care Plan Coordinator/ MDS
Amy Szostak is the Care Plan Coordinator at Cedar Ridge. She works closely with residents, staff and family members to develop individualized plans of care for each Cedar Ridge resident. Amy is a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and a graduate of Beck Area Vocational. Amy has been a nurse for 27 years and has been at Cedar Ridge for 6 years. 

Jamee Ahlers, Facility Rehab Director
Jamee Ahlers is the Facility Rehab Director at Cedar Ridge. She oversees the therapy department and helps to ensure that each resident in therapy has realistic goals for maximum rehabilitation. Jamee has 15 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist and is a graduate of Millikin University. She received her master's degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

Ashley Huels has grown up at Cedar Ridge. She started off as an activity assistant and has moved up through the years, eventually becoming the Director of Business Development in 2015. As the Director of Business Development, Ashley helps build relationships with hospitals, physicians, families and other healthcare facilities. Ashley is a graduate of McKendree University where she received a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Lori Thrutchley, Admission Services Director
Lori Thrutchley is the Admissions Coordinator at Cedar Ridge.  She works with hospital discharge planners, family members, or responsible parties to coordinate the admissions at Cedar Ridge.  She is also responsible for maintaining relationships with the Assisted Livings in the area.  Lori has been with the Cedar Ridge family for 13 years, previously serving as Activity Director and Social services Director.

Amy Suydam, Social Services Director
Amy Suydam is the Social Services Director at Cedar Ridge. Amy assesses the emotional needs of the resident and their family and has the ongoing task of providing them with the emotional and social support they may need. She also facilitates the discharge planning or long-term placement of the residents. Amy is a graduate of McKendree University.

Jessica Yarber, Business Office Manager
Jessica Yarber is the Business Office Manager at Cedar Ridge.  She is able to assist with any questions regarding any insurance and/or billing questions.  Jessica is a graduate of SIU-Carbondale and received her Master's Degree from Lindenwood University. Normal Business Office Hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.  Additional times are available by appointment.

Nicole Clay, Business Office Assistant
Niki  Clay is the Business Office Assistant at Cedar Ridge.  She assists the Business Office Manager with billing.  She is also available to answer any billing questions that you may have.  Niki has been at Cedar Ridge 13 years and was just 14 years old when she started with us as a Part-time receptionist.  Niki is a graduate of Lindenwood University.

Rachel Royer, Activity Director
Rachel Royer is the Activity Director at Cedar Ridge. She is in charge of the many activities that take place at Cedar Ridge. Rachel and her staff work closely with residents to develop a wide variety of activities to stimulate, educate and entertain our residents. She is always trying new things! Rachel has been an Activity Director for 7 years and has also worked as a certified nurses assistant (CNA). 

Marilyn Davis, Dietary Director
Marilyn Davis oversees the entire dietary operations at Cedar Ridge. As Dietary Supervisor, she assesses the dietary needs of each resident. She also oversees the kitchen staff to provide delicious, nutritious meals. She strives to keep a sparkling, clean kitchen and always scores close to perfect scores on her kitchen inspections! Marilyn has been with Cedar Ridge for 18 years and has numerous awards, including multiple 2nd place finishes in the Annual Belleville Chili Cook-off and winning a national contest by Oreo. 

Susy Teague, Central Supply
Susy Teague is the Central Supply Director at Cedar Ridge. She is in charge of ordering and inventory of all supplies.  Susy has been a member of the Cedar Ridge team for 10 years.  In addition, Susy does all of the scheduling of the Certified Nurses Assistants (C.N.A.'s) at Cedar Ridge.  Susy has an Associate Degree from the University of Maryland.

Cassidy Kreitner, Transportation
Cassidy Kreitner is in charge of transportation at Cedar Ridge.  She works with families and physician offices to transport residents to appointments.  Please let her know as soon as possible if your loved one has an appointment. She also works with Activities to provide transportation to Resident Outings.  Cassidy is also a Certified Nurses Assistant (C.N.A.)  She has been a member of the Cedar Ridge team for 18 years.

Tracie Dickhaut, Medical Records
Tracie Dickhaut is the Health Information Manager at Cedar Ridge. Tracie oversees and maintains the medical record information for all of our residents. Tracie has been a member of the Cedar Ridge team for 10 years. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse and has also worked at Cedar Ridge as a floor nurse and in Nursing administration. Tracie is a graduate of Beck Area Vocational. 

Ron Berkbuegler, Maintenance Supervisor
Ron Berkbuegler is the maintenance supervisor at Cedar Ridge. Ron oversees all maintenance at Cedar Ridge, including room repairs, painting, remodels, fixing call lights, installing televisions and much more. Ron is very talented and has built the Cedar Ridge fountain, gazebos, and entrance sign among many other projects. He has been at Cedar Ridge for 17 years. 

Ken Cook, Housekeeping/Laundry
Ken Cook oversees the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments at Cedar Ridge. He oversees a team that is responsible for cleaning every area of Cedar Ridge. As far as Laundry, Ken asks that you help to ensure that you or your loved ones mark your clothing with the residents name. Ken has been at Cedar Ridge for 13 years. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Thank you for your service Ken!
